Starting off our 2 year anni weekend with my favorite... flowers! Simba?! Panda Express on the UES (YAS), Hakuna Matata (thank you for taking me to this), and my favorite green door of all time. Haven't had a cake pop in forever, Chef Curry with the pot!, such a great musical (good job, David!), and a yummy omakase 2 year dinner to end our amazing weekend.
Beautiful windows on 5th ave, the best bagels with the bestie & bf during a fun day, and chocolate covered strawberries on top of Rockefeller! ITS A GIRL... I'm going to be an auntie to a little girl (congrats)! Happy one year & nine months hon, one of the best desserts in the city, and beautiful views of Central Park. Surprisingly a delicious lunch for our anniversary (serves the best pickles ever) and new nail art for the week.
I know I usually do 'Monday Musings' but in honor of this gloomy, rainy Friday here (and because I skipped this weeks musings) I'd thought it be fitting to do a rainy day musings. Some pics were also taken throughout the course of last weekend so I'll note that below in my explanations. Stay warm everybody and have a lovely weekend!
My gloomy view this morning while I reflect, pray, & do some work. So snuggly & cuddly (wishing I was her right now), my breakfast, and my latest drink obsession (sparkling water + honey lemon... so delish). Wondering how I'm already on my second month metro card, a chipped polish, and sharing my fave (Wooly's) with my sister last Saturday. Trying to get my life & blog more organized and finally grateful to God for how He's working in my life in this season & for this city. God bless you all and enjoy!
From where I stand (in the Citi Field), such a fun night at my first game in the city, and brunch on Sunday after church (this chicken wrap was filled with avocados - YUM!). Love these fruit bars from Trader Joe's, the most disappointing moment of my time in NYC (not the cupcakes I was looking for from my childhood), and my favorite little coffee/baked goods shop on the Upper East Side. I love the UES, tried going to yet again one of my favorite brunch spots but the long was too long, and a food recipe post coming your way!
Finally trying to finish furnishing the apartment with the sis (not a huge fan of ikea anymore), walking around the Flatiron building with new friends, and reuniting with some of my fave old friends with yummy Peruvian food. Styling for my next beauty post, some interesting decor around our windows, and a from where I stand with the 2P's. An equally pretty and delicious DOUGHnut, a broken nail and in need of a fresh polish, and trying out different burger places on a Sunday. Not photographed: a relaxing Kim siblings dinner in the Upper West.

I have not stopped eating these since I've bought some... who doesn't like limited edition flavors?! I love eating avocados whole with a dash of salt, re-using some of my own decorated jars and patiently waiting until I start at my new cool job, and loving this new t-shirt I bought for baby (be loyal & live fearless!). Korean flowers that bloom for exactly 100 days, finally bought myself an ice cream shaver and thoroughly ecstatic and satisfied with this purchase (look out for a new post on that soon). I love everything about her paws, the smell, the tininess... absolutely everything. I'm weak when I go to a pet's shop so I just had to buy her a new squeaky (I'm going to miss her so much). And lastly, because I miss him (and I'm sorry I've been such a brat on the phone... just getting impatient waiting to see you again, hehe).
I love flowers and I love textured walls, rollings hills of VA, from where I stand with more flowery beauties, Kami (growing an attachment to her), and this beautiful Chateau- like "Clark House". My favorite pineapple bar, Effee's a town favorite for ice cream (gets so busy in the summer), zucchini pancake in the making, and cold noodles (a summer favorite). Moss and colorful homes, SPRINKLES - ice cream date with my dear parents, and a fwis with my Birks, of course.
Four boxes of mangos courtesy of the best daddy, a fruit tart party (by myself), and leftover baby's breathes from the garden party. Caramels that I had to stop myself from eating too many of, more baby's breathes, chicken stew, and a new polish for the week (thanks Salon M, I'll be back). A view I'll never get tired of (a part of me doesn't want to leave), and beautiful frame arrangements by the one and only JER.
Happy Monday! So, every Monday I'll be starting a "Monday Musings" series where I put up pictures from my weekend. I wont be putting up any blog posts on the weekend, unless it is completely necessary... so I figured, on Mondays I can give you a brief recap of my weekend through photos I take! You can click on each, individual photo for a closer look (larger image)!
Fresh mangoes I devoured in a matter of minutes, hot tea on the porch with ma mere, my darling named Jimi, and fresh produce picked from the garden. Am I farmer yet (from where I stand)? A cacophony of just natural veggies & Korean chewy noodles, the farmers stand I visited on the way to the dentist, and clearly I'm obsessed with beautiful floors. A stroll in one of my favorite malls, a fresh polish for the week, my hydrangeas giving me a tease, and finally chocolates from a dreamy city I want to revisit very soon (Paris).
Lastly, can we just take a moment and bask in this beauty we call Neiman Marcus? Enjoy!
